


A brand identity and packaging concept for Spencer Block, a burgeoning wine collective based in Martinborough, New Zealand. Spencer Block bottle and distribute wines from a range of international vineyards but do not have a vineyard of their own, therefore the look of each label had to be flexible enough cover a broad spectrum of wine varieties and intended consumers but also appear as a cohesive collection when placed alongside each other. For the concept I mocked up an Argentinian Pinot Noir - full bodied, intense, smooth - and an Australian Pinot Gris - light, acidic, fresh - choosing images that reflected their characteristics. The logo takes influence from the owner's family crest but stylised and pared back to appear modern and clean.
